Adding Sheep Rap

I can’t sleep, it’s getting real late

My momma told me to “Open the gate.

Let in the sheep one by one

fill up the room and when your done

add them all up

then tell me the sum.”

 

Well, I’m back in my room

and they are running around.

All of them are making this sound

Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah,

Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah,

Just hold still stop moving around!

Gonna to tell Momma

how many I found.
 

One is in the closet

Two are under the bed

Three are stuck on the ceiling

just above my head.

Four are chewing the rug

and they are hungry for more.

Five are licking the paint

right off the door.

Six are by the window

trying to escape

Seven are close by

chowing down the drapes.

Eight are in my drawers

eating my underwear

Nine are stacked up

on my rocking chair.
 


Now please won’t you help me

I have totally lost count

I’m really getting sleepy

and my Momma wants an account.

She wants an exact number

before I fall asleep.

So, what is the sum of all those sheep?
